Two popular Chicago craft brewers are merging to form a new company, their owners announced Tuesday. Half Acre Beer Co. in Bowmanville and Maplewood Brewery & Distillery in Logan Square are combining to form a “unified beverage company” that will keep their respective brands active amid turbulent economic times for local craft breweries.
